Sugar Maple

Acer saccharum

The sugar maple’s fall colors are spectacular with vivid red, orange and yellow colors. It provides the iconic colors of the northeast autumn. Sugar maple does well in cooler locations away from the heat of roads or driveways, and it thrives in the shade. It grows slower than the red and silver maples.
