Tree Montgomery is a FREE program to plant shade trees across Montgomery County, Maryland. Our goal is simple – to plant shade trees and increase our tree canopy to provide a wide array of benefits for you and your community. We’re working hard to grow our tree canopy for the benefit of all who live and work in Montgomery County.

Tree Montgomery staff will work closely with you to choose locations and species to plant on your property. We’ll plant the shade trees for you and help you with caring for your new trees, all for free.

Want to know more? Tree Montgomery is looking for places to plant shade trees on private property for free. Our trees are more than 10 feet tall when we plant them, and they will eventually grow to more than 50 feet tall, providing many benefits for you and your neighborhood.
